Middle TN Training Coordinator
Catherine Orem is the Middle Tennessee Training Coordinator. She provides professional development for community rehabilitation service providers on a regional basis. She develops resources and promotes best practices in areas such as job development, job coaching and natural supports. In addition, she partners with Tennessee Department of Human Services, Division of Rehabilitation Services, to conduct training for newly hired professionals in the employment services field and provides ongoing continuing education. She holds a national certification approved by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) as a “Certified Employment Support Professional” under the oversight of the Employment Support Professional Certification Council (ESPCC). Catherine has been in this role since 2005.
Previously, Catherine worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and as a Transition from School to Work Counselor. She also has worked as an Applied Behavioral Analyst serving individuals with Autism and served nine years in the Air National Guard as a nurse. She is a veteran of Desert Storm. Catherine and her husband Pete live in Franklin, Tennessee.
