Kelsey Marcengill, Program Administrator / Senior Event Manager
Kelsey joined the Center in 2016 as a Project Manager for the Events Team and was promoted to Program Administrator in 2017. She works primarily with the Tennessee Department of Education’s Office of Academic Strategy and Operations and Division of College, Career, and Technical Education to plan and manage a variety of professional development events.
Prior to working at the Center, Kelsey was an Event Manager at the Knoxville Convention Center for over four years. She coordinated and managed over sixty-five events a year, acting as a liaison between clients and the facility staff to ensure that events ran smoothly and successfully. Kelsey’s event experience also includes two years as a wedding and event coordinator at a local historic home, The Bleak House.
Kelsey graduated summa cum laude from Presbyterian College with a Bachelor of Science. She majored in business administration and completed minors in history and art history. She traveled to England to study art and architecture and to Istanbul to study history.
In her spare time, Kelsey enjoys cooking, baking, reading, gardening, playing games, and spending time with her friends and family. She lives in Knoxville with her husband, two cats, and a dog.
