Kristie joined the Center in January, 2011 as an event coordinator for the planning conferences and training events for Tennessee Adult Education practitioners. In Fall 2012, she moved to the position of Program Administrator for a wide range of TNCore professional development projects. As part of her work, Kristie supervises the ‘events staff’ for the School and Family team.
Kristie graduated summa cum laude from The University of Tennessee with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Child Development. She graduated with a Master’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Kristie worked for the Social Work Office of Research and Public Service as an Assessment Specialist. At SWORPS, she conducted reliability checks on assessors as they monitored child care quality in child care and after school programs.
Following her love of planning, Kristie left SWORPS to work as a wedding planner for five years. She owned her own business and helped in over 115 weddings and events. She now Assistant Director for the CLEE Events Team, and helps plan and organize conferences and events for CLEE.
