Sam joined the Center for Literacy, Education and Employment at UT Knoxville in April 2018 as a Project Manager on the event planning team. Prior to coming to CLEE, Sam spent the last 3 years as a Lifestyle Director for a Del Webb Community in South Florida. During her time as the Lifestyle Director, Sam coordinated and managed over 20 events a month and this fun lifestyle she provided contributed to the substantial growth of the Del Webb Community which double its number of residents in her time there. Sam’s event and business experience also include three years as a wedding planner and five years of managing a boutique dog hotel.
Sam graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Resort and Hospitality Management with a concentration in Event Planning. Sam is eager to go back to school to acquire her master’s degree in order to one day teach at the college level.
In her spare time, Sam enjoys being outside, traveling and spending time with friends and family. She is a big animal lover and has five rescued pets with whom she shares her home with in South Knoxville.
