West Tennessee Training Coordinator
Tashara Tolbert is the West Tennessee Training Coordinator. She provides professional development for community rehabilitation service providers on a regional basis. She develops resources and promotes best practices in areas such as job development, job coaching and natural supports. In addition, she partners with Tennessee Department of Human Services, Division of Rehabilitation Services, to conduct training for newly hired professionals in the employment services field and provides ongoing continuing education. She holds a national certification approved by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) as a “Certified Employment Support Professional” under the oversight of the Employment Support Professional Certification Council (ESPCC). Tashara has been in this role since 2007.
In her past experience, Tashara, was the program coordinator for Spectrum Support, Inc. (Omnivisions) where she managed an employment team that assisted individuals with disabilities with career options. Prior to this, she provided career counseling, developed and conducted motivational and job readiness workshops for consumers at the Cuyahoga County of Ohio Department of Human Services, which gained positive media attention. Tashara has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Studies with an emphasis in Health Care Administration from Bowling Green State University, Ohio. Also, she has successfully completed 8 hours of graduate studies from both Cleveland State University and the University of Memphis. Tashara lives in Memphis, TN. She enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
